Fealty and Fidelity: the Lazarists of Bourbon France 1660-1736

I am delighted to announce to our wonderful community of Vincentian scholars that my book Fealty and Fidelity: the Lazarists of Bourbon France 1660-1736, a monograph based on my doctoral research, is now slated to appear (2015) in Ashgate's Catholic Christendom 1300-1700 series. The series addresses all varieties of religious behaviour extending beyond traditional institutional and doctrinal church history. It is interdisciplinary, comparative and global. My book will build on the important scholarship of other historians in our field, but also anchors its consideration of de Paul's immediate followers in a wider inquiry, situating their development with references to France's political culture and early modern colonization.
